Linwei Cai, also known as NocturneZ, is the captain of GLHF, the team representing China in the World Tournament Series. His main professions are engineer, guardian, and warrior. Although he likes every profession, he says that guardian is his favorite and that it’s very popular after the recent skill update.
He plays in PvE and World vs. World as well, but he enjoys structured Player vs. Player the most because it allows players to experiment with and learn every profession without needing to level up. NocturneZ also feels that PvP is the best place for the spirit of teamwork and individual skill to be fully reflected.
One of GLHF’s biggest goals is to bring more players into Guild Wars 2 PvP and to teach new players PvP skills through livestreaming and discussion groups. Those groups include top players from both China and the United States. They also assist in organising PvP events in order to attract more people to PvP in Guild Wars 2.
In Cologne, NocturneZ says his team hopes to earn high marks and to learn from the other competing teams. Their outlook, attitude, and goals all embody the meaning of their team name: “Good luck, have fun!”
Mark your calendars! You can catch NocturneZ at the World Tournament Series Finals on 8 August at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. He and his team will be facing off against the top PvP teams from around the world for the lion’s share of the $50,000 USD prize pool and the title of World Champion.
